The Changing Landscape of Literacy: Bringing an Inquiry Stance to Explicit Reading Instruction

  • American School of Barcelona 7 Carrer de Jaume Balmes Esplugues de Llobregat, CT, 08950 Spain (map)

REGISTRATION HAS ENDED.

What’s the role of explicit literacy instruction in an inquiry-based school? How might we balance “voice and choice” with whole class literacy experiences (and why might we want to)?

Join us for an interactive workshop devoted to evolutions in literacy instruction for international schools. We’ll build common knowledge around how the field of literacy is moving forward and then lean into “the what and the how” - practical ways to bring next generation, research-based literacy practices to life in your classrooms. Across three days, expect sessions designed specifically for K-2, 3-5, and 6-10 teachers and leaders, as well as a variety of foundational and advanced choice sessions.
